UPDATE
Thanks to the talented MTS user OhRudi, my mod is now compatible with Missing/Empty Book Title Fix, Children can read skillbooks and Missing Skill Books & Other Fixes. If you want my mod but want to have all the mods mentioned above as well, download the new archive I uploaded, called: [Compatibility Fix] MihaiA10_MoreFairyTaleBooks. If you have any of those mods installed, make sure to remove them before adding the package included in the archive, as it will cause mod conflicts and issues. Better yet, store the original mods in a safe place just for precaution.
Got tired of reading "Where's Bella?" to your child sims? Yeah, so was I. That's why I created this mod.
The mod adds several classic fairy tale books for your sims to buy from any rabbit hole bookstore. Just send your sim shopping for books and that's it!
Note: You can only choose ONE archive file to download. Just to make sure there are no issues, the package file included in all three archives have the same name, so the packages from all of them will overwrite each other. To be more specific, the MihaiA10_FairyTaleBooks archive includes the following stories:
The Little Mermaid §60
Aladdin §292
Sleeping Beauty §92
Peter Pan §480
Alice in Wonderland §202
Cinderella §66
Beauty and the Beast §216
Snow White §108
If you want more stories for your kids, then you can choose the second archive, which is MihaiA10_MoreFairyTaleBooks. It includes the same stories from the MihaiA10_FairyTaleBooks archive, but also contains some additional ones:
The Frog Prince §64
Rapunzel §64
The Snow Queen §200
Little Red Riding Hood §56
The Three Little Pigs §68
The Hundred and One Dalmatians §300
The mod has been tested and created with Patch 1.67 and may or may not work with 1.69 or versions older than 1.67, since I'm not sure if EA made any changes to the 'Books' XML. It will conflict with any other mod that does changes to the XML.
For instance, upon testing and according to Delphy's Conflict Detector tool, I found out that mods like kap_children_can_read_skillbook_music or Missing/Empty Book Title Fix may override with my mod, so take that in mind before downloading this to avoid any gameplay issues.
In order for your sims to read bedtime stories to children, you need the Generations expansion pack, but the reason I didn't include it under the requirements section is because you DON'T need Generations for the books to show up in game.
