Wolterton Hall
based on a RL English Estate
built with a No-Slope Basement (Made with the Grid-Adjuster.)
19+ bedrooms - 17 bathrooms - oversized garage
courtyard - colonnade - patio - underground passage
billiards - ballrooms - and more!
- lightly furnished & ready for you to decorate -

~~~ Bespoke Build Set and a few other CC, included ~~~
When I started building this, earlier this year - Wolterton Hall was for sale - for a cool $25-million! It was just purchased last week, I think! So the listing photos are gone, but I have included RL "picture inserts" on many of my interior shots; and you can find more info about this house on the Wiki.
I have changed room proportions to match the playability of TS2. I wish we could have 10 - 12 foot ceilings in this game! In real life, the rooms of this house are not overly-large, and they conveyed nicely into TS2 standards. However - this is overall a VERY LARGE building - and it will probably lag once you get it all decked out in your CC furniture, and fancy period decos, ...with beautifully coiffed sims installed. Beware!
Most every room on the RL floor-plans is represented - except in the Attics. On the Ground Floor, I combined the Estate Office and the Boot Room into one office room. Both rooms separately were to tiny for a sim's comfort; but together they are quite nice.
Some routing is strange, but it works - like the area just North of the "underground passage" (to the garage.) You might have to carefully control your sim to get him onto the grassy area. My test sim and his dog had a wonderful game of stick throwing there - so, it can be done.
Please enjoy touring the rest of this design by scrolling through all the pictures.
I intentionally keep my builds lightly furnished - with only EAxis stuffeths - so that you can have all the fun of decorating it! (Please CC-it-up once you get it in your game!) All appliances, plumbing and lighting are included; along with smoke and burglar alarms, and telephones.
This is a clean copy of this house/lot; no sim has ever lived here. The package has been cleaned with Mootilda's Clean Installer.
There is parking for three vehicles; 1 in the garage, and 2 on the long driveway.
This is a pet-friendly build. No pet items are included, but there is plenty of room to add what you need.
If, when you first enter the lot, the front arches are not "cut through" - then save, exit to the hood, and re-enter. Fixed!
Thank you, Mootilda for the awesome Grid Adjuster tool used to make this lot.
Standard mods I use that are not necessary, nor included - but were probably used whilst building/prepping this house for upload...
I use Deastrumquodvicis' Roof Shader for brighter roofs
And, HW/Honeywell's A Little Greyer: Roof Trim Defaults
Maranatah's White Wall Top texture replacement
Moo's Turn On/Off Lights
Menaceman's Lunatech Lighting Fix
BeosBoxBoy's no-red-pause-mod
Nopke's Go Under Spiral Stairs mod for proper spiral stair usage
Gunmod's Radience Lighting System, which is installed with the Scriptorium (which is necessary for installing CC stairs.)
Lamare's Shiftable Everything and...
HugeLunatic's Sweet Down Low Tweaked + for the ability to shift things up/down on a wall without darkening the item!
And, I highly recommend using gummilutt's Invisible Medicine Cabinet to add features to any mirror.
And, of course, everyone needs Numenor's CEP and SEP!
