Nice, looks huge! I'll try it out.

To make it so it doesn't replace the original, you need to give it it's own 'GUID.' Go to http://sims.ambertation.de/ and sign up, then in SimPE go to your objects 'Object Data' filetype, go to Plugin View Tab, press 'Get GUID', go to 'New Object' and type in it's name, and hit Register Object. Then make sure you hit the commit button before you save it. That should do it

I did giv it a new grid (# 0xEC153205 ) but it still replaced the original. I made two sizes but the first one replaced the original and then the second
(Grid # 0xEC153204) one replace both.

You need a new guid for every object data. I looked in your package and you only did one. This particular item needs 3 guids to work and not override. (Anything with more than 1 tile will need an object data new guid for each tile plus 1 for the master.)

When are you posting the fixed version? It's still the same one that overrides the original TV.

Default Huge... but not wide screen???
Wooow
Like that huge TV... BUT the small TV is wide screen, but the large one doesn't look to be that???? :-(

ie. the aspect ratio isn't the same for the two TV...
small 9:16 and large looks more like 4:6 or???

Or am I wrong???

I just downloaded the TV at 2:15 am on Feb.2 and it replaces the original Maxis TV, even though you say it doesn't. I would like to use your great big TV but not at the cost of losing the old TV. Can you please post that new fixed file you mentioned above?

I went to his web site here - http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group...yguid=194553292 and downloaded the large TV file, and even though it is an older file (by its properties and modified date) it does not replace the Maxis TV ... they both are in the game now. I love the TV but have a wish for it - can it be tinted black when its off, instead of that bright gray color? Thanks!

bigger is better

thats all i got to say

You should never put a cap on violence!! Suppressing violent urges only leads to psycological internal violence! Got it!? If I were to use an analogy, I'd turn to yeast! The root of all bread making!!

You did a nice job... the size is really quite perfect indeed... One question for you... I have inseted some AVI's and they are watchable in the original wall mount TV but not in yours... Any chance of this being corrected?

It is still a very fine TV and thank you for sharing your work with us all...

i have the same question as makabaer...does this work in University (for those of you with the EP and the tv) or is it one of the many objects/hacks that freeze up the game?

I've tested it too...it works just fine...the "picture" even expands to fit the large tv--well i mean the pre-existing pictures do (dont know about user-created ones)....thank you for this my university students are enjoying it
