Hmm you missed out the file! Besides, why would you wanna make such an adorably cute little bun bun wabbit look worn anyway? I LOVE IT! (No I am not gay I just think it looks funny!)

Or a less unstraight way of telling you you forgot the file would be-

Oi Nume-noodle brain you forgot the file!!

Oh, my! I forgot the attachments!

OK, now they are online...

BTW, who was the one that voted "Yes it works" without even downloading the package?

Thank you for the trust, but please don't vote until you couldn't actually test it! :D

Testing tonight--please try on the teddy too, if this works; I've always been so disappointed the teddy didn't get worn ever since I assumed they meant it to, and then abandoned the idea!

I'll vote after I test :-)

You did it!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!!

I am confused about the bear. I can recolor the bear just fine, plus I have the two original bears, one worn and one clean, then all my recolors. I didnt know there was a problem with the bear. hmm...

Thank you for all of your work on this, you are awesome!

The Teddy Bear, originally, showed only the "clean" texture; when we enabled colour options, the worn texture showed up as a second recolour, but it was not intended (by Maxis) to be so: it was only a side effect of the CEP applied to the bear; that's why we had all those problem with the recolours for the Bear. In fact, every now and then the game checks the age of the bear, and applies the "right" texture: but the right texture is always the standard clean one; as a consequence, our recolours, sooner or later, would revert to original. This can be fixed: if the textures are correctly coupled (clean/worn for each recolour), and if a suitable Material Override is provided, then the multi-state feature can be restored.

I've finally started my Journal. Information only, no questions.

My latest activity: CEP 9.2.0! - AnyGameStarter 2.1.1 (UPD) - Scriptorium v.2.2f - Photo & Plaques hide with walls - Magazine Rack (UPD) - Animated Windows Hack (UPD) - Custom Instrument Hack (UPD) - Drivable Cars Without Nightlife (UPD) - Courtesy Lights (FIX) - Custom Fence-Arches - Painting-TV - Smarter Lights (UPD)

I *DON'T* accept requests, sorry.

Thank you very much for this! The stupid bunny bear gave me many headaches and much frustration! But you solved the problem!

I was also wondering what was up with the worn state and why it didn't work so cheers for fixing that as well.

edit: just to be clear, we should be able to recolor this now with object workshop but similar to counters or stoves, we need to make 2 versions of the recolor, one for normal and one for worn?

Numenor,

I downloaded and tested for you, but I'm not getting any recolours showing up at all, just the standard pink bunny. I don't know if it matters that I have both your bunny file and the original bunny file in a subfolder (same folder), not the downloads root directory

Jorenne, I believe, as stated in the first post that you can't have both in your downloads folder. As rrngdrgn said this:a9b7199cf4d86878fc7f36768f3db47c_0001.package should be the maxis bunny package to be removed in your downloads folder.

MOTOKI:
Yes, the recolour is similar to the clean/dirty objects: both textures must be edited.

JORENNE:
if you are in doubt, run a "Scan Folder" with SimPE, checking for duplicate GUIDs, or use the Clean Installer: my Bunny uses the same GUID as the original, so it's easy to spot.

Or you could simply *delete* the Bunny from the catalog, then restart the game and look again in the catalog. When you are sure you have no Bunny in the catalog, reinstall my package.

At last, your many requests convinced me to do it: I've enabled colour options for the latest Maxis add-on object, the "Li'l Chimera's Plush Bunny-Bear".
The main problem I had to solve was the same we had to deal with when RGiles and I included the original Teddy Bear in the CEP. Maxis at the beginning decided that the bear should become "worn" after a few sim-months of use; but actually this feature was discontinued, and the "multi-state" was half deleted from the package. The other half remained into the original bear, just to create a lot of problems to us, making our recolours quite unstable.

Now I've restored the fully functionality of the "wornable" feature (only for the Bunny, not for the original bear, yet): after three sim-months, the Bunny Bear should become "worn"; I said "should", because I couldn't test this feature, yet: 3 months are long and I sincerely have not the time to througly test this. And anyway, the fact that Maxis decided to abandon this feature makes me think that after all it may not work correctly.

That's why I ask you all to test my recolourable Bunny Bear and report here if it actually turns to "worn" after some months of use.
In your tests, please, don't use the default pink recolour: use the green or blue one, in order to test the stability of the recolour, too.

IMPORTANT: this recolourable version of the Bunny Bear uses the same GUID as the original one, so please remove the original Bunny from your download folder before installing this one!. I had to use the same GUID because it wasn't possible to give unique name to the internal files: the Bunny needs to use some routines from the original Teddy Bear. And anyway, it would be a nonsense to have both the recolourable and the non recolourable version installed at the same time.

The package is EP-ready: I tried to respect the original GroupID assignments, but the EP format seems more logic then the one Maxis used for it... Or, at least, it seems more logic to me!
In any case, the special EP-ready format I used allowed me to create a functional package, I could delete all the useless resources and textures contained in the original package and I managed to retain the original outdoor shadows (that usually are lost in the standard EP-ready format).

And last but not least: credits for the Bunny Bear mesh go to MaxoidMonkey from Maxis, credits for all the other features (colour-enabling, the 2 additional recolours and the "worn" feature) go to me! :D

this is the same bunny bear that i downloaded from the sims2.com by maxoidmonkey>>>???? here it is http://thesims2.ea.com/exchange/obj...php?asset_id=69
